Résumé and Web Reporting with Data Writer

Résumé procedures for updating data and merging data are covered. Along with creating reports that execute within menus and appear to be part of a standard application. Also learn how to generate reports in XML, and HTML.

A general flow of the activities: **

• Creating Lookup Tables.
• Reducing selection complexity through trigger variables.
• Report headers / trailers : Legend.
• How arrays can be used.
• Output translation into:

• Application integration.
• Scripting Data Writer.
• Automatic timed reports.

After Completing Day 3

• create update procedures that change data, both simple updates and complex table based updates.
• improve reports by using techniques to simplify complex selections, create internal mapping lookup tables, and scripts to run Data Writer reports either through cron or your application.
• create multi pass reports, and will be able to create output in web compatible formats , such as XML and HTML.
