Is a multi-purpose tool that helps create, maintain and manage all of your reports.
It helps you create reports by guiding you through a series of steps that help determine how much information is used, how it is arranged, and how it is formatted on the page. The same guide can be used regardless of whether you are creating a new report, or changing an old report.
The library also helps you manage your reports by keeping track of their location, and presenting you with additional information. The library will keep track of its title, the creation date, any passwords on the report, and a unique number that provides a quick reference to the report.
- DataDictionary Maintenance utility
DDM allows you to manage your Dictionaries. A Dictionary represents a collection of data sources, which could be any flat or indexed file. Using DDM you can also define relationships and conditions to control the presentation of data.
Relationships define how a sources information is relates to another source, so you can add additional information to your reports.
Conditions allow you to limit the amount of information that can be retrieved from a data source. The data source may contain information that the user does not need to see, so conditions allow you to control it.
- DataEditor( view mode only)
View your data to see if it being read correctly. The DataEditor is an easy way to check and see if your data files are setup correctly.
- Loadfd
Loads COBOL file descriptors into a Dictionary. This tool will helps you setup your COBOL files so they can be accessed from within DataWriter.
